RHS had a great first meet of the season with several notable performances. Cole Lambourne was named athlete of the meet with 1st places in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and the 4x400m relay. He met state qualifying times in each of those events as well.
Also qualifying for state were Stratton Brown in the 200m and the long jump, Lucas Van Skyhawk in the javelin, Miller Crawford in both the discus and the shotput, and the rest of the 4x400 relay team consisting of Clay Lambourne, Michael Bluth, and Brandon Walker.
On the girls side, Joni Warnick qualified for state in the javelin and Courtney Paddock in the 400m.
There were also several individuals who took spots on the overall school record board. McKayla Morgan set a new school record in the 3200m with a time of 11:44.95. Collin James took over 4th place with a pole vault of 12'2". Stratton Brown took 3rd place overall with a long jump of 21'9". Lucas Van Skyhawk took 4th with a javelin throw of 156'05".
Another success was the RHS boys dominating the 400m race - they took the top four places. Cole Lambourne took 1st with a time of 50.27. Michael Bluth was 2nd in 50.8 followed by Brandon Walker in 51.84. Rounding out the top 4 was Cole Lambourne in a time of 52.1.
